We have the opportunity to hold a short practice at the Northside 1604 Natatorium, in order to familiarize their swimmers with the starting blocks, and diving from the edge of the pool.

The Championship meets will be held outside in the Swim Center on June 28 so we would like everyone to have the chance to take a look around as well. This practice will be at the inside pool but the blocks are relatively the same.

Swimmers competing in 25 yard events will not be diving from blocks but will be diving from the side of the pool however this pool is much deeper than our swimmers are used to so it is important to get them prepared. All relays will utilize starting blocks (backstroke-start in the water with blocks and butterfly from blocks= medley relay/also, 1st/3rd swimmers for each freestyle relay will use blocks to enter)

We only have a short window to utilize the pool so please remind your swimmers to be on their best behavior and listed to the coaches. Parents willing to help keep things moving are welcome and appreciated. This time is not to be for an actual workout to be conducted.....it is for BLOCK WORK ONLY!!

We are assigned to Lanes 5-8 at the North pool (Stadium side) from 1:00-1:30 please arrive by 12:45 so we can use every minute of our time and plan to remain at the pool with your swimmer until dismissed.
